I think the plan of dribbling them out bit by bit was a good one actually, at least before the tape came out.

Pretty much the whole campaign whoever is in the media spotlight loses. Whoever is grabbing the majority of the headlines has their numbers go down and the other numbers go up. So if Trump wasn't like a giant ape atop a building swatting at everything that comes close, it would actually be good because every day there'd be something to report, even if it was boring and inconsequential (like most of them have been).

But yeah at this point if there's anything truly juicy now is absolutely the time, polls can't change overnight. If they don't release something big in the next week I think there is nothing big to release.
