Great observation on the middle blue liner holding the line instead of retreating a little to cover. It has happened often resulting in breakaways and scoring attempts. Gio and Wideman aren't fast enough to do that and against McDavid, no one is. If that is coaching, might be time for an adjustment. Risk/reward doesn't seem worth it.
