McDavid is the best player in the world? He's played what.....46 NHL games?

That's so disrespectful to guys like Crosby, Toews, Ovechkin...

You know Ovechkin....the guy who's scored 50 goals for 3 straight years???

Crosby...defending Cup champion, Conne Smyth, World Cup champ, World Cup mvp.....

Kane....defending Art Ross....defending Hart Trophy...

There's a reason why these wonderkids look ridiculously good early in their careers....it's because NHL dmen/goalies/coaches haven't seen them enough to make adjustments to how to play them....once that happens...McDavid is going to have to change and evolve his game....that's the real test...

You think Crosby, Kane, Ovi are the same players that they are today than when they first came into the league when though Crosby's highest point total was in Year 2 of his career???

Crosby is 2x the player he was back then because even after seeing him and the league adjusting to him....he brings it night after night, year after year......that's why he's the best player in the world.

FFS please stop with the Kool-Aid drinking. The best player in the world isn't unseated overnight....it takes a sample size of atleast 3-4 years and a resume of personal and team accolades.
