Outside of St Louis, his career numbers are awful, going 61-53-16 with a .901 save percentage and 2.90 GAA. I know he's been heavily touted as the answer to our problems in net, but I just don't see it. He's not great positionally, he's not the most athletic guy, and he doesn't display great hockey sense.
Yes, he was great in St Louis behind Hitchcock's system, but haven't a lot of goalies had career years with Hitchcock?
I really think we'll end up seeing Johnson steal the starting job. Thoughts?
