So amid all the narcissistic crotch grabbing, pandering, and reneging of election platform promises behind closed doors to major donors, crap is about to hit the propeller hard in Syria.
Can anyone remember a time we have seen such hardline posturing from both the Russians and Americans outside of the Cold War? American generals are promising to "destroy any and all enemies", Russia is moving missile systems into Kaliningrad, and both sides have stated a no-fly zone will lead to war. Good times, essentially. Can a president use the war powers to suspend an election? Remain in power? As weak as Obama has appeared on foreign policy in terms of making good on threats, I have much more confidence in him leading both sides to a peaceful resolution in Syria than either Kissingers Lil Helper Hillary or God save us, Trump.
