The Flames just decisively lost their last preseason game because the lineup was no where near being finalized. Now there will be less chemistry within the team when the season actually starts.
For whatever reasons, the Flames have let a handful of underwhelming PTOs stick around through the entire pre-season. The fact that they stuck around this long without actually deserving it is disappointing. If these PTOs made the team, they'd halt the development of a few NHL-ready prospects. That'd be even more disappointing.

They brought literally nobody to Vancouver. Monahan with his first skate with unfamiliar linemates, Backlund and Hamilton. That's it.
No Bennett
No Giordano
No Brodie
Not Elliott
No Gaudreau
No Brouwer
No Frolik
That last game was irrelevant.
Keeping PTOs around as long as you can is classy, it gives them the best chance possible of signing somewhere before the bell strikes 12.
I can't see any of them making it, though Korpikoski has a sliver of hope.
