I get that, but what kind of contract is he going to get next year if he's playing 3rd pairing minutes with us?
He's a professional hockey player, so assuming he's been even remotely smart with his money, he's set for life already. But you have to think he's still interested in getting as big of a payday as possible next year.
Also, I'd rather move my family for a year at the start of the school year, rather than either uproot them in late February or be separated from them for two months.
