Just wondering if it matters if I get smaller winter tires than my all season tires. I have a 2003 honda civic si and the tire size is 185/65r15. I wanna get new rims and 14 inch tires since smaller tires are better in the winter plus its cheaper.

So I guess the real question is does the 185 part of the tire have to be the same as the original tire?
Does the 65 part of the tire have to be the same as the original tire?

Or can I get like lets say 170/65r14
