No, the human body is limited. Gudas needs to 1)perceive, 2) acknowledge, 3) React, and then 4) Confirm effective reaction in a matter of 0.3 seconds? He might be able to acknowledge within that short of a time frame, but that's about it. They even teach these times to drivers when they're getting their learners license.
Even if assuming Gudas has super neurons and can react in 0.3 seconds, he might not be skilled on his skates to safely adjust his current projected path. He's clearly skating hard leading up to the event and so he has gained some speed before heading towards the boards. It's not easy to just pivot when on ice, especially knowing you have to find a way to stop after and not get cut from your team by letting buddy go on an undefended skate around your zone
