Or to actually teach kids coming up that they will get hit. I see these hits every game and I believe a factor in that is telling players they won't be hit from behind.
A player should never be hit from behind but they also need to learn that turning your back to "protect the puck" is not a legitimate offensive option. We all see so many players making the quick turn back instead of absorbing a hit and they end up getting hurt.
