Out of the three first round picks cut the only one I'm really worried about is Poirier.
Jankowski is just turning pro, I never thought he was realistic to be NHL ready at his first camp.
Klimchuk is healthy again, did well in fitness testing and I expect this is his year to jump forward in his pro career. His attitude and brains suggest he's still can't miss, but maybe that roster target is a 6-9 forward spot instead of a 4-6 as I thought before.
Poirier took a step back last year, which you hate to see, and he doesn't have the injury excuse that Klimchuk has. He needs to push back to that 25/50 season again in the AHL, or time will run out.
