I encourage everyone to read the debate transcript. Trump's quotes in black and white are a gold mine.

His worst segment by far was, predictably, the race segment. He:
1) Promoted stop and frisk, somehow suggesting gun control is a good thing but only for minorities. When pressed on the unconstitutional nature of stop and frisk he offered:
TRUMP: "No, you're wrong. It went before a judge, who was a very against-police judge. It was taken away from her. And our mayor, our new mayor, refused to go forward with the case. They would have won an appeal. If you look at it, throughout the country, there are many places where it's allowed."
2) When asked about birtherism he predictably attempted to pin it on Clinton. When the follow up offered him a chance to directly speak to the black community about it he says:
TRUMP: "Well, it was very -- I say nothing. I say nothing, because I was able to get him to produce it. He should have produced it a long time before. I say nothing."
3) When accused of racial profiling with his first real estate business he offered the rock solid excuse that hey everyone was doing it.
TRUMP: "Now, as far as the lawsuit, yes, when I was very young, I went into my father's company, had a real estate company in Brooklyn and Queens, and we, along with many, many other companies throughout the country -- it was a federal lawsuit -- were sued. We settled the suit with zero -- with no admission of guilt. It was very easy to do."
4) Praised himself for allowing minorities at his fancy club in Palm Beach as if this were an exceptional thing to do in 2016. Possibly my favourite quote of the debate:
TRUMP: "I'll go one step further. In Palm Beach, Florida, tough community, a brilliant community, a wealthy community, probably the wealthiest community there is in the world, I opened a club, and really got great credit for it. No discrimination against African- Americans, against Muslims, against anybody. And it's a tremendously successful club. And I'm so glad I did it. And I have been given great credit for what I did. And I'm very, very proud of it. And that's the way I feel. That is the true way I feel."
I mean, could that possibly have gone any worse? I guess he didn't use any racial slurs at least. How is he even going to get 1% of the black vote?
