What would the Flames gain there? Why not just add another $1.0M AAV and get him for the full 8?
I don't see our Cup window opening for atleast another 2-3 years, so to get Johnny on a short bridge deal right now would be catastrophic to this teams Cup intentions in 3-8 years.
