How many training camp hold outs go well?
I have a feeling this fell off the rails sometime in early August, conversation switched from long term to sign me to a bridge deal and the Flames don't want that.
There is no worse thing for a locker room or employer-employee relationship than a hold out, that is what he is now because he has no leverage.

Drew Doughty is working out pretty well. Iginla worked out pretty well.
The list of bad cases (Johansen) really isn't that long.
I really believe Treliving is trying to get the best contract so the Flames can be competitive as possible. It's as simple as that.
