Brodeur registers first shut out
Martin stopped all 21 shots directed at him it seemed with ease. The acquisition of Regehr and the emergence of Jay Bouwmeester , seem to be paying off on the score sheet. As the Oil have only allowed 4 goals in the past 3 games putting Martin with an early 1.33 GAA.
On the offensive side of the puck Patrice Bergeron has taken off this season scoring his third of the season and adding a helper. The oil goal production is a little low, so expect Guy to shake things up by moving team superstar Jarome Iginla to be moved to the top line to play with Vinny.
Mr. Regehr leads the Oil in Points = 5, assists = 5, hits 11….. second on the team in shots with 13, and is riding a 3 game point streak.
In other news Karel Rachunek was injured in the second period while opening and closing the bench door. Rumor has it he will be able to play next game.
