Being fair, Charlie Coyle is pretty fantastic and they've got him for a while. Yes, it's a clear win for the Sharks, but it could have been pretty close had the Wild used the pick better - they took Zack Phillips. Not sure where that dude is, but two picks later, the Ducks took Rickard Rakell. Six more picks later, they took John Gibson (that would've been a pretty good win for the Wild right there). Eight picks after that, Brandon Saad.
It's obviously 20 20 hindsight seeing who you could have had with your first rounder, but even granting that Burns is now one of the best defensemen in the entire league (and I don't think many people thought he'd be
this good), it was potentially a win for the Wild and it just didn't pan out.
