But I hope the Jets do well here because I think Trouba is being a bit of a turd in the situation. If he wants more playing time - earn it. He should want to be part of a good team with a deep blueline.

If I'm a young player that wants to win, Chevy as a gm wouldn't inspire me. Winnipeg could easily become the Montreal Expos of the NHL, a development team for the rest of the league. They let their captain (who wanted to stay) walk. They cut loose a vet (Stempniak) who wanted to stay. Chevy preaching patience and saying the draft is the only way to build a team (because he doesn't trade and can't attract free agents) does not inspire a winning culture. While I agree Trouba should man up and play until he can become a ufa, can't really blame him for wanting out.
