Highly misleading. Backlund's struggles came when he was buried on the 3rd/4th lines with Bollig, Jones, Bouma, Raymond.

The 40 game stretch between Nov 05 and Feb 11 seems to be the most "normal" stretch. You can see his shooting percentage% spiked in the late parts of the season, but it was also unsustainably low in the early parts of the season along with his bizarrely reduced ice time.
...I'll take an average 0.63 PPG any day from him. That's a 52 point pace.
