If people have a history of being reasonable, rational posters, they get the benefit of the doubt.
If people have a history of starting fights, being unreasonable/insulting/antagonizing, they don't get the benefit of the doubt, and people are more sensitive to comments that could elicit negative reactions.
I don't believe I've ever replied to any of your comments, but I've read many of them. I think you fall into the latter category. Victim complexes, my-way-or-the-highway, indignant, hostile... those kinds of traits don't result in people being afforded courtesies such as benefit of the doubt.
