Chekov no happy with Cap-i-tan Kirk?
A thread for those still into Star Trek. Looks like they are doing an online miniseries in a vein of "what if Kirk never lived". Has some of the lesser lights from the Trek universe.
Anyway, Walter Koeing was asked if he stayed in touch with his former castmates. Here's what he said:
Quote:
KOENIG: George Takei, Nichelle [Nichols] and I do. Our ranks are starting to thin. Leonard [Nimoy] and Bill [Shatner] have always been in a different stratosphere, so there wasn’t that much socializing with them in any case. Although, Leonard is a really good person, outside of STAR TREK he’s done a lot of good things. He’s someone to admire, even though I don’t see him very often.

Is this a not so veiled shot at Shatner by mentioning two guys, and then saying one of them is a really good person? Or am I reading too much into it?
I had always heard there was some tension between the former actors, so perhaps this is an indication of what Koeing thinks of the former leading man on the show? Maybe someone out there has more details they could provide.

And the website for the miniseries.
