It's true. The Oilers almost certainly will kill individual players' values these days.
Even Taylor Hall, who should still be trending upwards, depreciated as an asset only to fetch a #2/3 stay at home d-man after spending a few years with the team.
They're a safe way to ensure a swift exit from the league if you're a journeyman UFA. But at least you get paid nicely to dampen the fall?
