Look how they structured Brodie's deal - TJ made $3.9 this year because Gio made $4.05.
I would argue Brodie is more valuable to the team than Johnny given we had Johnny for 79 games and Brodie's early season absence sunk us as much as goaltending.
Until they absolutely have to violate it, I'm fine with them not.
Again, Gio asked for $9. He got $6.75 as a UFA.
Johnny probably deserves more than Monahan and MacKinnon. Does he deserve $2.2M more per season?
