Oh yeah. Tigers tend to get going hard when the weather gets nasty. Cold winds so hard it makes your eyes water with the barometer going nuts. The season runs from late May through March. I asked on of the NYS DEC officers that since Tigers are stocked and sterile, why does the season close? He replied "I don't know these things. They just give me a gun and a book of tickets to write."

I think we're going to get socked here this winter - and early. Everything here's been eating big lately. Even dink Perch are eating huge night crawlers and Bass-bait sized shiners. The Tigers have been bypassing the dink Perch and hitting on eating size ones, unless I put 2 or 3 on a hook. That usually doesn't happen until late October or so. The fish are better at predicting the weather than those guys on the TV...

Maybe I can get another 40 of them before things ice over.

Next on the agenda is to get a few of these and these...
