Nosebleed seats could be had for $16 in 1999 when I first moved to Calgary, and you could just decide to go to the game on your way home from work, drive to the dome, and buy tickets from the box office no problem.
Of course, that was also during the 7 years of darkness when we all wondered if the Flames would ever make the playoffs again and they were in danger of leaving the city. At the time those $16 tickets were in the first 3 rows - the upper loges were all closed and tarped over and not even available for purchase - in fact I don't think they opened them back up until the glorious run of 2004.
