Maynard James Keenen second band, 'A Perfect Circle' released their third album, eMOTIVe today purposely on the date of the U.S. elections. It is mostly a cover album covering great peace and protest songs including a creepy version of John Lennon's 'Imagine'.

The site describes the album as being about, 'WAR, PEACE, LOVE, AND GREED.'

Lots of other great things on the site too both political and artistic and a beautiful site to navigate around.

In my opinion the album is a must have for any Tool, APC, or Maynard fan, and should turn a few heads in other circles too. Like the album before it, 'Thirteenth Step' and to a certain degree, 'Mer Des Noms', expect a more mellow experience as ooposed to the angry music from Maynard's earlier days.

On a side note, when I was at the APC concert here in Calgary over a year ago, just after the U.S. invaded Iraq, the loudest cheer of the day (from an already vocal crowd) erupted when a talkative Maynard (much more talkative than the Tool concert about 4 months previous) proclaimed:

'I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize for my president, and my country.'
