We would not be on page 28 if he had avoided the drama and simply reported JG's wishes (which I totally respect) that he not be involved in the process (and publicly discuss things) during the tournament. But to imply that negotiations between the Flames and the JG camp would be suspended for potentially a month is misleading.
But I realize part of a reporter's job is to sensationalize things and turn a non-story into a story.

What exactly did Friedman hear, and how do you know whether or not he reported it correctly? Please notice that his source for this comment appears to be from within the Flames, and there is no indication that he ever spoke directly to Gaudreau.
I think you need to lighten up.
