What it was is typical of their season. Does anyone outside of a few very unrealistically deluded Rider fans think that Riders team is remotely close in talent, skill, coaching or heart to the Stamps? What happened this week is what has happened multiple times this season, including against the Stamps:

1. A good team is up for the game against the worst team in the league, comes out hard and lays the boots to them in the first quarter/half.

2. Good team gets a big lead because, frankly, the Riders are a joke in all facets of the game and their HC is a moron.

3. Good team lets off the gas and starts to coast because it is like playing a bunch of toddlers and it gets boring punching the toddler in the face and taking their candy play after play after play.

4. Crappy joke-of-a-franchise Rider team puts up some meaningless points against a team that isn't really trying, giving delusional Rider fans hope.

5. Good team wakes back up enough to win the game, sometimes by a significant amount, sometimes barely.

6. Rider fans (and goofball idiot coach) cry that they were robbed by the refs, by bad luck, by gremlins, "if only that penalty wasn't a penalty", "if only they had called some random infraction", "if only we were allowed to play with 13 players instead of 12", etc....

7. Moronic joke of the league play-by-play idiot spouts off conspiracy theories about the league being out to get the Riders due to some perceived slight(?) or maybe because of prejudice against rectangle provinces(?) or because Jones is an a-hole(probably?).

8. Idiot Rider fans lap it up like stray dogs that found a half full container of sour milk.

Rinse and repeat.

This team is not close to anything, except being a punchline.
