I asked because, I've been in this situation a couple times (love finding a 'rabbit' to follow through Saskatchewan). I'm always slowed down by the time the cop gets onto the road, and he never has any interest in me. He's radar/lasered the first guy, so he pulls over the first guy.
He can't use that reading against both of us so there doesn't seem to be much of a reason to pull me over?

Oh in my situation we were driving down Deerfoot and he was behind us so it would've been different if it was a speed trap or a laser from the other side for sure.
I've had a cop ignore me and go after a leader too. He was going WAY faster than me though at that point (he sped up to at least 160 after we crossed into Alberta from BC) but I've seen both ends.
