The only logical way Higgins makes the team is if Tkachuk doesn't, and assuming he gets 9 games, I don't see the Flames needlessly carrying 2 of Vey, Chiasson, Bouma, and Higgins on the bench for the first month, while Pribyl, Hathaway, Hamilton, and Shinkaruk could also be deserving of NHL time.
