Most of the ten commandments are pretty common-sense 'don't be a dick' stuff. Still, I would find it concerning if they were posted in the common area of every university.

It's not always common sense though. We're talking about teenagers/very young adults here. They can be #######s. I know I was. Still am, but I just became stealthier about it as I 'matured'.
Common sense also tells me this will be scoffed at and mocked by the very people it's aimed at. Common sense also tells me these signs are really kind of silly, but I get where they are coming from. They need to ease up on the cornball terminology at the very least.
Some people are always going to be dicks and you just have to deal with it, but I don't have a fundamental problem with spelling out how to not be a dick in the hopes of bringing down the level of dickishness in your dormitory.
