My kids bought me a
burger stuffing press. Works pretty decent, but should be no problem by hand. Keep the two sides fairly thin so it cooks through ok, with a single pocket in the middle. Once the burger halves are together give it a squeeze to make sure the sides are sealed. From what I remember, I use 2.5 - 3 oz of ground beef for each side and maybe 1-2 tsp of filling. Usually cheese of some kind with bacon pieces, some bbq sauce, chilies, etc.
