I would much rather an 8 year deal than a bridge but I'm not going to panic if it's a bridge. I was more commenting on how many here seem so damned insecure about Gaudreau's desire to stay in Calgary. Edmonton fans have much more to worry about with McDavid and they shrug that off like it's nothing... "McDavid's not that kind of guy", "He's going to take a discount to win", and "He looked despondent at the lottery because that's his personality" BLAH BLAH BLAH...

This fan base could use a bit of that confidence it pains me to say.
