I am a 49ers fan. I wasn't a Kaep fan but I respect him more now that he has taken this stance. This is the most leadership he has shown. When Harbaugh ran the team, he was the leader. Kaepernick was always too quiet and never had the charisma people expect of an alpha QB. But yeah, he is pretty much done in SF. The team will look for a way to release him with the least mess possible. They are already leaking stories to national press to make the cut easier (which is how the owners work - undermine with leaks to make them look justified later. The Yorks are BAD owners).

I'm resigned to the fact that the team I cheered for since "The Catch" will be bad so long as they are owned by the Yorks. I had some hope when Jed took over but he is little better than his parents.

I am in 100% agreement with your take on Kaep and the 49ers. Tough to see that team driven into the ground with the Yorks. I always thought Kaepernick was a "tools not the toolbox" kind of guy, but I must admit I thought his statements to the media were really well thought out and I respect him for what he is saying. Selfishly, I just wish he could throw the damn ball more accurately!
