This is a great way to put it. He's certainly not 1-dimensional. Taylor Hall is 1-dimensional.
Johnny is not some defensive beast, and he's not your go-to guy when your in your own end. However, he certainly chips in defensively, but most importantly, isn't a liability in his own zone.
