yeah I understand all that. Guardiola is obsessed with possession and building from the back and Hart was always going to have a really tough time with him in charge. Still, it surprised me that he pushed him out so quickly, I still thought he'd give him a year. It's a power play and a statement for sure - Hart was the only English player they had that fans could somehow connect to, you know what I mean? He's been there for 10 years, while their other local players are very expensive purchases or fringe players. It's surprising that he can push him out with so little backlash. And I know that Hart is a bit ####, but still.
I'm also a bit old-school when it comes to goalkeeping I have to admit. I'll take a great shot stopper over a ball playing pretender like ter Stegen every day of the week and twice on Premier League Sunday.
