Also, I still think +/- can be used as a tool to determine the players within one team that are succeeding in their roles. I'm pretty sure it fluctuates wildly from season to season, but you can then use their pdo, and other stats to see if their +/- is sustainable. Ideally you want every player in the positive when they play in their role.
