I think it is possible actually. I can't speak for everyone but I am pretty sure when the CBA ends we will see a lockout again, maybe lose another year. Lockouts don't happen until September, so the "signing bonus" would already be paid in full when the lockout happens. so if in 2020 and 2022 He makes 10 million and 9 of it is signing bonuses, then he may be willing to take a lower cap hit and salaries in other seasons. It's all about getting creative.
