The Pittsburgh Penguins had a closed door players only meeting before they took to the ice versus the Bruins. During the meeting alternate captain Scott Niedermayer stood up and spoke of the importance of defensemen joining the offensive rush. On Tuesday Niedermayer led by example, scoring a hattrick and adding 2 assists in a 8-4 dismantling of division rival Bruins. Jason Spezza also had a big night with 3 assits, while captain Saku Koivu scored twice in the win. Chris Chelios, Marian Hossa, Michael Ryder, and Chris Higgins added two points each in the win. The Pens are right back in action tommorow night as they play for the second day out of four straight game days.
