I recently got into scotch less than 3 months ago, and OMG. Where have you been all my life? I was lucky enough to get a private tasting at Willow Park because my friend works there. I can't remember all the scotch we tried but we had 6 different ones from different regions. At the end of the tasting, Will, let us try the Oban 18 and Glenfarclas 20 single barrel.
I have discovered that I love the peaty scotch the most with Lagavulin 16 being my hands down fav so far. I even bought a bottle of Octomore 6.1 (peatiest scotch in the world). I have in my collection Kilchoman Vintage 2007, Bowmore 12, Teeling Small Batch, Laphroaig Quarter Cask and Nikka Coffey Malt.
I started a group on FB called ScotchSwap where we swap 200ml of scotch at a time if anyone wants to check join! It's a good way to try different things without having to buy a whole bottle.
