Could make a much better case for Tarasenko being in the driver seat, not Gaudreau. Seeing as Tarasenko is not only is much farther from home (and actually has to deal with cultural shock) but he actually had the ability to simple walk away from the organization and go back home for loads more than what he is getting paid. It's no secret that Doug Armstrong was willing to cave-in quickly to keep Tarasenko from threatening to head back to the KHL.
Gaudreau does not have an option to go back East anytime soon without the Flames making a trade.
