He's a good comparable but I think they will have to up that to compensate for playing in Canada so far from home for the bulk of his career. It's not like Tarasenko has NHL options close to home like Johnny does.

I completely agree with this. There is a "tax" so to speak that players can charge for playing in Canada. To keep top tier talent up here, there is a premium cost.
