If you want to discuss something that make the Flames nervous is Gaudreau's road record from last year.

39 games 7 goals 22 pts -17 even strength 5 goals 10 pts.

I don't ever recall seeing someone who has that big a differential between home and away.

Half the games are on the road.... Home 10M and away 2M ? comes to 6M/year...

a bridge deal 3.5 x2 he still is a RFA and then 10x 6 = 67M

8x8 =64 M .... a bridge deal costs 3M over 8 years if Gaudreau is able to play through the defensive schemes that he will see at home the next 2 years. Right now every team in the West will be going over the flames road games film to see what they can do to create a road situation for Gaudreau at home.
