I think a nuclear Japan in 6 months is a bit much. The US can cover Japan 'nuclear-wise' with their subs, no problem. Japan is not in imminent danger because it doesn't posess nuclear weapons, and they still have pretty big issues with full re-militarization, that hurdle hasn't been
fully jumped yet.
