I'm pretty high on Kylington, but ever since that other thread regarding the Swedish article, there seems to be this feeling that he is close.
I don't think he is close at all. He scored 12 points last year, for an offensive defenceman. He needs at least a full season in the AHL putting up at least over 0.50 ppg before he should even seriously be considered a legitimate top 6 candidate.
Karlsson spent only 12 games in the AHL, but that was because he put up 11 points in that time frame.
There's no rush at all for Kylington. He's 19 years old. Give the kid some time. He's playing the most difficult position and it took Brodie years to finally make it. Shouldn't be any different for Kylington.
