The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed defenceman Tyler Wotherspoon to a one-year contract, two-way contract.
Wotherspoon, the 57th overall pick in the 2011 NHL Draft, just finished his third season with the Flames organization. The 23-year-old netted a pair of goals and added eight assists for 10 points and 16 penalty minutes in 53 games with the Stockton Heat in the AHL last year in addition to playing 11 games with the Calgary Flames picking up one assist.
