On the eve of the season I figured I would take a stab at predicting the top five, bottom three and golden boot. Would love to see some others!
Top Five:
1. Tottenham Hotspur: They kept the team together, added some depth with a couple good signings and the young guys have another year of experience. Its going to be a dogfight, but this could be their year!
2. Manchester City: I think they're poised to have a great season and have added some quality this summer.
3. Chelsea: They made some good signings (and are giving Batshuayi a ridiculous amount of money at the same time) and should be more consistent under Conte.
4. Woolwich. Cruising along and in the hunt until it matters when they fade back.
5. Liverpool: I think a full season under Klopp should have them fighting for top four again.
HM: Manchester United: I just don't know if them buying the big names and mashing them together will work. I partly hope it doesn't because the car wreck would be amusing to watch.
Relegation:
1. Hull City: they're just in disarray in general. Its asking a lot to overcome the issues they have as a club to avoid the drop.
2. West Bromwich: I could just pick all the newly promoted, but where is the fun in that. They're also not great and have been really quiet this window.
3. Palace/Sunderland: I couldn't decide between these two. I think that Pardew and Moyse can keep these clubs up, but I don't think it will be pretty.
Golden Boot: Sergio Aguero. Hes just so good if he can keep his fragile hamstrings together for a full season.
