Make sure you file a police report, most people think once a bike is stolen you are never getting it back which in alot of cases is true.

I can speak from experience that I've had my bike stolen twice and recovered by the CPS twice (it was actually the same bike that got stolen twice).

Both times it was recovered it was several months after it was stolen and was recovered as part of bike theft ring sting operations organized by the CPS.

In short the CPS does care about stolen bikes.
