I just got back from an extended long weekend in Yukon and basically the fish are perfect for a guy like me! I don't think that they get fished much at all, and they're dumb. It's amazing. I was almost bored of catching fish one day...just hit after hit. Even if you pulled the fly out so they couldn't take it they would jump and take it in mid-air. Pretty amazing. Really to do it properly you need a boat as the rivers and lakes are enormous. Overall it's breathtaking scenery, and just incredibly beautiful.

It's not cheap... You need a regular BC license - I think about $35 guessing don't remember for sure - then the Skeena is "classified waters" so that's another $25 a day then you have to pay a salmon tag which I believe is like another $25... Not to long ago it was just an out of province licence... It's expensive as hell but I understand and get why...
