Ok fan pissing match aside, I don't think he made it up because he's a compulsive liar or something. That being said, teams talk smack about rival franchises all the time. He has instantly created a media ####storm in Regina. You don't think this will be a distraction for the Riders for the next 3 days? This is brilliant gamesmanship. But IMO making accusations like this on twitter seem childish and petty. There were plenty of ways he could have helped out this without making himself look foolish, so I think we have to consider the possibility he's doing it to create a distraction.
Like I said though, fake injuries, taxi squads etc has been in the league for 50 years. It is disappointing if true because the Riders were the ones who pushed for a level playing field when it was the Evil Empire up in the City of No Goodness and Toronto that were screwing the Riders by pulling this crap. I don't believe that just because we were screwed that it makes it ok to turn around and try and screw others.
