Albertans were fed up with the PCs. The Wildrose is a non-starter for most urban Albertans - especially women. Opposition to the status quo gathered around the NDP because they had a base already (unlike the Liberals and Alberta party), and because Notley was by far the most appealing and dynamic campaigner. Not sure why that's so hard to understand.
